Thank You For Visiting Alta Tech Academy!

Alta Tech Academy was founded in Southern California in 2000. The mission was to re-train Workers' Compensation candidates who were unable to return their old jobs. The late 2006's saw the demand for Workers' Compensation cases decline dramatically and the Academy was obliged to change it's mission and direction. After 2007, a faltering economy lead to a dramatic drop in enrollment and in 2009 the academy was sold. So it was, in 2009, that the college relocated to Huntington Park, CA. and in 2011 added this campus in the lovely City of Westminster.

Alta Tech Academy is recognized and approved under the new Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE), with several training programs approved to served the Community, EDD, WIA, TAA, TRA, T-To Work and other Federal and State programs.

By introducing new programs that better reflect the current needs of the job market it is the intention of the new ownership and its governing board to offer quality education and training at affordable tuition fees. The Academy is dedicated to bringing the motivated student into a learning environment taught by faculty who are experts in their fields. High School Completion and Vocational English As A Second Language is offered to students in need or this training in order to achieve their occupational goals.

The mission of Alta Tech Academy is to enrich local and global communities by providing educational opportunities and services of quality to individuals striving to succeed in a diverse and dynamic society. Alta Tech Academy is committed to enhancing student employability by offering programs that will enable students to acquire job skills and competencies for entry level positions in their chosen fields of study and to assist graduates to obtain jobs so that they can become productive members of society.

OBJECTIVES

To accomplish our mission, Alta Tech Academy identifies and creates programs that prepare students for careers in a reasonably short period of time. Alta Tech Academy is dedicated to enhancing student competencies by:

• Providing working adults with higher educational and training opportunities that are flexible and accessible;
• Providing higher educational and training opportunities that are current with technology and career demands;
• Employing faculty members that have demonstrated expertise both professionally and academically;
• Integrating into the educational process a better understanding of cultural diversity;
• Delivering educational support services that meet student life demands and schedules;
• Building within students a value for life-long learning and education.
